The silent auction is comprised of various products and services. There have been themed bas-kets in the past with themes such as volleyball, football, beauty products, gift certificates for local restaurants and much more. You can also donate services from your company or if you know someone who owns a local business, they might be willing to donate a service. Please make sure that you include the estimated value for your donation so that we can place that on the bid sheet.

Bake Sale: Contact for the Bake Sale: Vicki Rowan: yabetcha@verizon.net
We need a variety of individually wrapped baked goods, breads, cakes, and pies. We would ap-preciate donations to help raise money for Chloe and her family. Please contact Vicki with what you are planning to donate.

Attend the matches on October 1st! We would love for you to come and support our program and the Sinouanthavysouk family!

Consider supporting us as we support Chloe and her family!
We are looking forward to supporting Chloe Sinouanthavysouk and her family through our Cancer Awareness Game on October 1st. Chloe was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on July 8th on her 14th birthday. She is a outgoing girl with a sweet spirit and a servant’s heart. Chloe is the oldest of 5 children and lives with her dad and mom here in High Point. She is being homeschooled right now due to treat-ment but is looking forward to be able to return to school as her health allows. She loved being involved clubs in school and loves to help people. Her family attends First Wesleyan and is continuing to look to Christ for provision during this trial. We are so excited to get to know Chloe and her family more and pray that we are a blessing to them during this time. Our desire is to show the love of Christ, to en-courage them, to pray for healing in Chloe’s body, and that Christ would be glorified! We would greatly appreciate your support.

Please contact Bridget Knower at bknower@hpcacougars.org for information or donations.

Don’t Wait Benefit Golf Tournament

In support of the Cancer Services, a beautifully crafted Elegant Pink Coral ballpoint pen was donated. Be sure to stop by the silent auction for a chance to bid on this magnificent work of art.

The DW Golf Tournament benefits Cancer Services, Inc. and their dedication to patient services and community relations.

To date the DW Benefit Golf Tournament has provided over $671,000 to Cancer Services, Inc., a local United Way agency established “to enhance the quality of life for those living with cancer, and to provide the gift of life through education.” The agency serves cancer survivors with any type of cancer and offers services and programs at no cost to cancer survivors and their families.

Save The Date for the 15th Annual DW Golf Tournament to be held on October 9, 2014.

In 1998, three Allegacy employees were diagnosed with breast cancer and at about the same time the CEO and President lost a close friend to ovarian cancer. The following year, Allegacy decided to host a golf tournament in an effort to increase awareness of the importance of early detection of these cancers and raise funds to support Cancer Services, Inc. The primary way to battle breast and ovarian cancers is through early detection, thus the tournament was named “DW” which stands for “Don’t Wait”. Fifteen years later, many of our active and retired employees, their family members and friends, and credit union members continue to be touched in some way by these cancers. We have seen first-hand, the battles that these ladies endured; many have survived the battle, yet some have not.
